About AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club
With the "in with a smile, out with a smile" philosophy, guests of AK- Chin can always expect to receive a member for a day type of treatment. With over 100 bunkers and open fairways, it has a very links-style feel to it. There area no homes on the course so the already secluded layout evokes a feeling of serenity, where the rest of the world just seems to melt away. Recent renovations have lessened the forced carries off the tee boxes by up to 50 yards, making the course very player-friendly. However, the back tees still play over 7600 yards for those looking for a challenge. The design allows a first time player to get a pretty straightforward understanding of each hole from the tee boxes, with very few surprises. The 14th hole is sure to be a memorable one, as this drivable Par 4 is a classic risk/reward hole. All in all, a great value.
