The 27-hole Tom Jackson design inserts a Scottish golf feel to the northern end of South Carolina's coast. Recently awarded four stars as one of Golf Digest's "Places to Play", all three of Aberdeen's nines are packed with wildlife, a product of the course's proximity to the Waccamaw riverfront preserve. The property also includes a minimal number of nearby home sites, allowing players the opportunity to concentrate on the game and the stunning environment. That focus will be essential, as rolling fairways abound around water on 24 of the 27 holes and sand traps protect many of the Tif-Eagle Bermuda greens. The golf course's three nines (Highlands, Meadows, Woodlands) can be packaged to provide a different experience from one round to the next. Or, combine all three at once to take advantage of a challenging yet enjoyable 27-hole day.
